Steven Weinkam
Steve began playing drums at age 11 when he and 3 of his cousins started their first band together. One of those cousins, Gary Rowles, is also in Cinema today. Steve's family thought this would be like most of his other hobbies that he would get tired of in a few weeks or months. That still hasn't happened.
As Steve played in different bands over the years one thing never changed. His desire for music. By his early 20's, Steve decided that his life was destined to be in the music field. Whether it meant playing drums or working in the music industry, he needed to be surrounded my music.

In the late 80's, Steve quit his job to go to Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts in Orlando, FL to hopefully become a recording engineer. After graduating, he did an internship at Sheffield Audio Video Productions in Phoenix, MD where he was later hired. There he learned much more. He worked in their soundstage and became a member of the audio crew on remote recordings. He helped build video edit suites, video remote trucks and their highly acclaimed audio remote truck. Steve, Gaff Michael and Dennis Hanlon were the 3 man crew of that truck out on the road for sometimes up to 250 days a year. They worked on many different shows including the MTV Video Music Awards, the David Letterman Show, the Grammy Awards, the New Orleans Jazz Festival and live albums and videos for Aerosmith and Gloria Estefan.
Life on the road became a little too demanding, so Steve left Sheffield to pursue other things. His current job allows him to stay in town a lot more, play music again and build his dream project studio.
